Getting Married?

I’m super duper excited to announce this. I’m going to be working with one of my best friends in the entire world, Miss Jess Vogel, doing wedding videos in the very near future.

I’ll let her do the talking here, as this is directly from her website:

I’m so excited to announce that I will be working with filmmaker Jeff Heimbuch of Bamfer Productions. Jeff has been one of my best friends since I have been 15 or 16 years old, and with an extensive background in various types of film- he’s going to begin work in my favorite genre: ROMANCE!

I’ll begin to offer packages with video included in both the engagement session and the wedding, however this won’t be your average wedding video with slide cuts and fades… this will be a cinematic production. I can’t wait till our first shoot together so I can show exactly what I mean. I don’t think I’ve ever been more excited for a collaboration!
I can’t wait for this either. For more information, please check out her website at

A lot of you are wondering “Hey…when you are making another movie?”

Well, this is all you’re getting for now.

Drunken Tentacle Productions

For Immediate Release

We are proud to officially announce the formation of Drunken Tentacle Productions, a new independent film company based in Maryland, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, and headed by Mike Antonio, Matt Blazi, Jeff Heimbuch, Brian Keene, and Mike Lombardo.

Mike Antonio is a graduate of The Sheffield Institute For The Recording Arts. His production and co-writing credits include the short films They’ll Never Get Me, Ninja Slice, and Elkton’s Undead.

Matt Blazi has been involved in several films, including Land of the Dead, Deadlands, and George Romero’s most recent zombie movie (currently in production).

Jeff Heimbuch is the founder of Bamfer Productions. He has received numerous awards from film festivals all over the country, most recently including “Best Horror Film” and “Audience Choice Award” at the Garden State Film Festival for the feature film Leeds Point. He is also the writer and director of Brian Keene’s The Ties That Bind (forthcoming).

Brian Keene is a two-time Bram Stoker Award winning horror novelist. He also writes for Marvel Comics. The author of over twenty books, Keene’s work has been praised by CNN, The New York Times, Publisher’s Weekly, The Howard Stern Show, Fangoria, and Rue Morgue Magazine.

Mike Lombardo is the founder of Reel Splatter Productions and specializes in splatter comedy. Of his fifteen short films, he is perhaps best known for Demonstration of the Dead. He also occasionally serves as a voice actor for cartoons.

Drunken Tentacle Productions’ main focus will be feature-length horror films for DVD, Blu-Ray, and digital download formats. Their first project will be an anthology film based on selections from Brian Keene’s short-story collections Fear of Gravity and Unhappy Endings. The film is expected to be released in 2010.

The Ties That Bind & Leeds stuff

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know, it’s been awhile since there was anything of substance in this journal. Hell, I could have written this weeks ago. But I’m lazy. So sue me.

So, without further ado, I present to you the cast of THE TIES THAT BIND.

As per usual (is anyone really surprised?), the movie will star the one and only KEVIN INTERDONATO.

It will also star the very lovely and very talented LOGAN TRACEY.

I have worked with Kevin (Off The Island, Leeds Point) and Logan (Leeds Point) before, and I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am to be working with them again. Working alongside me (while wearing many hats, both literally and figuratively) will be my partner in crime, Mike (Santo) Scardillo.

We’ll be shooting on Thursday October 23rd and Friday October 24th in Maryland (Whoo, on location shooting!). I’m super pysched to be doing this, and I’m sure you’ll all enjoy the film when it’s done.

For those of you who visit the main page of the site, you already know there’s been a teaser trailer floating around for a few weeks. In case you haven’t seen it yet, check it out on YouTube:

Speaking of Leeds Point, we (meaning Mike, Kevin, and I) recorded a commentary for it yesterday. Had a blast doing it, as it was everyone’s first commentary. The DVD will be available on Amazon in about a month or so. So that’s exciting.
