They Provide The Paint...
"They Provide The Paint For The Picture Perfect Masterpiece That You Will Paint On The Inside Of Your Eyelids"
(Tentative Title!)
Now that I have permission from the man, let me explain it.
"They Provide The Paint..." is an interpretive short film based upon the Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution song of the same name. Seriously, that song almost makes me cry, that's how powerful it is to me. I always get a vision in my head when listening to it.
There is no spoken dialogue, and is set to the music of the song. The film is about the rise and fall from grace of one man's life, birth to death, set during the course of the first and second world wars. His life is full of tragedy, and ultimatily, it leads up to one thing. He gains everything he ever wanted, and then loses it all in an instant.
The wars are not a main aspect of the film, but do play a small role.
This one is unlike anything else Bamfer Productions has ever done. For one, it's not a comedy. Strictly a straight drama, this one is going to be a tear jerker, hopefully.
Secondly, no more is it going to be just a group of my friends. We have REAL actors (no offense, Greg, haha) doing this one. Greg's dad is a professional actor, and has his own one man show based upon Charles Lindebergh, and he will be playing a very large role in this upcoming production.
The massive amount of man hours are going to be put into this one. Dolly Cams, Steady Cams, and hopefully, a Crane Cam, will all be made/borrowed for the shoot. We're pulling out all the stops for this one. This is probably one of the most time consuming things I'm ever going to do.
The script is written write now, but in story boards. I'm still trying to flesh it all out. I've got a "Living Storyboard" I'm making right now as well, using my editing program and Photoshop, so that I can set it all up correctly, and see how it would look before hand.
But this...if done correctly...is going to be very very cool.
Hopefully.
